“There’s no debating the fact Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio and Pete Dye have helped Barefoot Resort & Golf become Myrtle Beach’s most popular destination… Every top golf publication has honored Barefoot Resort’s four award-winning courses designed by the legendary quartet. For instance, Barefoot’s 6,834-yard, par-71 Fazio Course is currently rated No. 96 and the 7,343-yard, par-72 Dye Course is No. 99 among Golf Digest’s America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses 2009-2010. In addition, the 7,000-yard, par-72 Love Course (No. 1), Fazio Course (No. 6), Dye Course (No. 10) and 7,200-yard, par-72 Norman Course (No. 28) were all among Golf Digest’s 2005 Top 50 Courses of Myrtle Beach ranking.Norman Course features seven holes along the Intracoastal Waterway. Five Love Course holes wind through re-created plantation-house ruins. The Fazio Course traverses natural sand dunes and Lowcountry forest. Native grasses and Dye’s infamous hazards abound at the Dye Course. Barefoot’s golf amenities also include a 30-acre range with a sports bar and periodic free swing video analysis; GPS-equipped golf cars; chair massages; and complimentary shoe shines.”

Steve DoNahue, Golf Digest

We are happy to report that we have successfully re-opened all four of our golf courses!

We would like to take the time to thank John Hughes, Duane Whittle, Shane Carrick, Alan Lucas and the entire Barefoot Resort and Dye Course Maintenance Staff for all their hard work the last 5 days both during and after the 20+ inches of rain endured from this historic storm. These are the guys that make the engine run and without their extra effort and dedication during times like this our golf courses couldn’t prosper.

We also like to thank all the Golf Course Maintenance supervisors and their crew working in the entire Grand Strand area. All of them have been working the last few days from daylight to dark to get the courses open for the golfers visiting the beach for the fall season. Without all of these people Myrtle Beach wouldn’t be the “Golf Capital of The World”.

Finally we want to give a big thanks to all of our members, friends and followers who gave us the willpower to face adversity head-on and come out victorious. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Please “Like” or visit our Facebook Page Barefoot Resort for continuing updates of our progress. The entire Barefoot Team is committed and will be working diligently to get things back to normal as quickly as possible for all of our members and guests that visit us this fall season.
