Membership at Barefoot Resort & Golf is a non-equity membership and the member acquires no property of the courses, real, personal or intangible.
Family Membership includes privileges for Primary Member, Spouse/Significant Other and Children 23 and under.
Barefoot Resort & Golf offers two levels of Family Membership, one a Golf level which includes both golf and social privileges and one a social level which includes social privileges only.
To be eligible for enrollment, all prospective members must meet the criteria for membership as set forth by Barefoot Resort & Golf which includes:
Property ownership within Barefoot Resort Centex/Pulte Developments, the North Towers, Yacht Club Villas or the North Beach Plantation Development which lies outside Barefoot Resort.
Proof of property ownership as provided by property developers or, in the case of resale properties, the submission of a copy of the first two pages of the HUD Settlement Statement received at closing and any other documents as required by the Membership Dept.
Submission of all initiation or transfer fee payments along with the necessary membership enrollment documents.
Submission of a valid credit or debit card number which will be charged for dues payments and charges made to the member’s account.
All documents and payments must be submitted to the Membership Dept. within the stipulated time limit as set by Barefoot Resort & Golf.
All members must obtain a magnetic stripe picture ID card upon enrollment which will be used for identification and benefits purposes when checking in for golf, buying merchandise or buying food and beverage. Failure to present ID will result in the loss of discounts and charging privileges. Members will be charged for the replacement of ID cards.
Various activities will be planned for members including but not limited to weekly member group play, member tournaments and various social events.
Any member who sells his/her property forfeits the membership upon closing. The membership is transferable to purchasers of resale property for a transfer fee in the case of properties which have an attached membership or an initiation fee in the case of properties which do not have a membership.
The membership program at Barefoot Resort & Golf may be altered, changed or eliminated at the sole discretion of Barefoot Resort Golf Course, LLC. The Resort Membership Program is in substitution for any other membership or golf program into which the member enrolling has entered into at Barefoot.
Failure by a member to comply with the operating rules and regulations of Barefoot Resort Golf Courses may, at the entire discretion of Barefoot, cause the suspension or revocation of the enrollment contract, and, in the event of suspension or revocation for cause, Barefoot shall have discretion whether or not any part of the initiation fees paid or credited to the member may be refunded to the member.
Golf members pay the prevailing cart fee per each round of golf booked. Social members pay the walk-in rate for each round of golf booked.
At the Golf level, each Family Membership may book one foursome per day for one round of golf as far out as seven days in advance. The foursome may include guests who pay the prevailing member-guest rate.
Member guests must be accompanied by a member in order to receive the prevailing member-guest rate.
A limited number of tee times will be reserved for Golf members each day. Any reserved times not booked within forty-eight hours may be released to the general public. Member play during those or any other times is allowed on a “space available” basis and there is non guaranty that tee times will be available for a member at any given time or any given day.
Should members and guests not show up for the booked round without forty-eight hour advance cancellation (unless course is closed), the member will be charged for one cart fee and three member-guest fees.
Golf members may sign up for the Barefoot handicap scoring system and will be charged annually for the service to the credit card on file unless the member cancels use of service by December 31.
Pre-booking of nine-hole rounds is not allowed. However, nine-hole rounds may be played subject to availability by calling or “walking in” to the Pro Shop.
Dues, Charging, Accounting, Default
Each Family Membership must pay the prevailing monthly dues for the chosen membership level. Dues are charged to the member credit card kept on file at the beginning of each quarter based on the calendar year.
Members will have charging privileges in the Clubhouse, at the outside Grille and at the Beverage Carts on the Golf Course. All charges to member accounts will be charged to the credit card on file during the month which follows member charging activity. Members must keep a valid, chargeable credit card on file with Barefoot in order to receive account charging privileges (We accept VISA, MasterCard and AMEX). Charging privileges may be suspended at the sole discretion of Barefoot if the member fails to have a valid credit card with sufficient balance so that charges can be made and an up-to-date expiration date and credit card billing address on file with the Membership Dept.
Default of month dues and/or account charges by members with payments sixty days past due will result in membership privileges being withheld. Monthly dues/account charges that are six months past due will result in termination of membership with full initiation fee payment and all past due charges required for reinstatement.
Members will receive a statement of charges billed to the credit card on file from the Accounting Dept. following any charges made to the member account or the charging of dues payments.
