Congratulations on your decision to enroll in the membership program at Barefoot Resort & Golf. If you have purchased property in one of the designated developments eligible for membership, you may sign up for Resort Membership anytime within a limited period following closing. Check with the Membership Dept. regarding the grace period for your particular development. After the grace period deadline, the full initiation fee will be due for enrollment. Of course, Corporate Memberships do not have a limited deadline period for enrollment.
If you’d like to enroll in person, please call the Membership Dept. at 843-390-3203 to make an appointment. Our staff will thoroughly discuss the membership with you. This would also be a good time to view the facilities if you haven’t already done so.
If you are purchasing a new property from Centex/Pulte or North Beach Plantation, they will provide a Certificate of Membership to the Membership Dept. of Barefoot Resort and Golf which will alert Membership that you are eligible for enrollment. Corporations will need to provide proof of a Federal ID number assignment.
If you are purchasing a resale property, a copy of the first two pages of the HUD Settlement Statement received at closing must be presented to the Membership Dept. prior to enrollment as proof that the transaction took place and to determine the seller, buyer, exact address of property and the closing date. In the case of resale properties, other documentation might be required by the Membership Dept.
Please read the Privileges and Benefits document and the Agreement and Guidelines document thoroughly. If you are ready to join, the next step is to 1) fill out and sign the Agreement and Guidelines Document and 2) fill out and sign the Enrollment Information Sheet. These documents are kept on file in the Membership Department and enable us to communicate and bill properly. We keep a credit card number from you on file for your account charges and monthly dues charges. Print your name and place the credit card number you wish to have on file on the back (2nd page) of the Agreement and Guidelines document. You may mail the documents to the Membership Dept. at the address below, fax to the fax number below or e-mail to the e-mail address.
Following the signing of the agreement and filling out the enrollment sheet, members begin paying the monthly dues associated with either “golf” benefits or “social” only benefits. It may take accounting as much as one week to put new members into the system for charging privileges. Monthly dues are automatically billed at the beginning of each quarter (calendar) to the credit card kept on file.
Each primary member, spouse and other eligible family members must obtain a picture ID card in order to receive membership privileges during golf and/or social activities. Please make an appointment with the Membership Dept. to have pictures taken and ID’s completed.
