It's always nice to get positive feedback.  Take a look at some of the great things our guests have said about Barefoot Resort.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Over the last 36 hours, I’ve been brainwashed by the best of the Barefoot Resort & Golf.

First came the really fun day yesterday at The Dye Club for the 19th annual Monday after The Masters, hosted by Hootie & The Blowfish. The pro-am felt like one big party. The fans drink plenty and have a good time. The PGA TOUR pros let their hair down, so to speak. They’re wearing shorts, and just hanging out, chilling with the celebrities and corporate clients. The celebrity athletes – such as Dan Marino, Bruce Smith and Jim McMahon – were very friendly with their time, signing autographs and posing for photos.

My V.I.P. pass allowed access to the sprawling clubhouse. Inside were free drinks and food. The crew from Greg Norman’s Australian Grille served some awesome catered beef. It was a first-class event, partly due to the dedicated staff and top-notch facilities of Barefoot.

Today I went back to play golf at Barefoot. Rounds on the Love Course (designed by Davis Love III) and The Dye Club reinforced just how good the resort’s golf really is. (I played Barefoot’s Tom Fazio Course and Greg Norman Course in 2011). Barefoot isn’t quite up to par with golf’s greatest 72-hole resorts – think Pebble Beach and The American Club – but it’s pretty close. Both the Love and Dye Courses are treats to play and easily rank among the best courses in the Myrtle Beach. The fake ruins of the Love course are actually quite fantastic (see the picture above). The Dye Club, with its separate clubhouse from the other three courses, provides the best service and private club feel of the four.

Simply put, Barefoot’s the best.

"The Barefoot Resort and Golf Club facility in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina  is a spectacular golfing mecca boasting 4 spectacular championship courses designed by Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Davis Love and Greg Norman...
We arrived at Barefoot Resort, I though somewhat early but I had made an error with our tee time. So we ended up being late. The staff was great and they fit us in nicely.  The Norman, Fazio and Love courses are all serviced by the same charming clubhouse. The day we played there was a definite buzz all around the clubhouse with golfers everywhere. I can imagine it's always like this, compliments to the staff as I was impressed with their attitude and customer service with us arriving late for our tee time... Barefoot's Love Course was a real treat to play. All skills of golfers will have fun on this golf course... The greens can poise a problem for some golfers just play smart. With a plethora of greenside bunkers with a great mix of crowned, tiered and undulating greens. Skilled and not so skilled golfers will have plenty of memorable holes at the Love Course at Barefoot Resort... The highlight of my Grand Strand Golf Experience. A must play for anyone in the area."

Dear Jeff,

Unfortunately, I'm back in NY now but wanted to take a minute to thank you for your hospitality last Sunday.  Our group of 12 had a fantastic time at Barefoot playing the Dye course and then Norman on the replay.  The entire staff was really great and blew away how we were treated at other courses throughout the week. I enjoyed reminiscing about Long Island pizza and traffic with you and everything you said about the course improvements was dead on.  This is the 5th time our group has played the Dye course and we can't wait to come back.

Thank you,

Eric

I wanted to drop y’all a quick note to tell you how great things were for our golf trip to Barefoot last week.  Everything went very smooth.  The courses were great, the pace of play was good & the accommodations at the Yacht Club were 1st class as always.  I did not receive one complaint from any of our 24 guys the whole time and that is quite a compliment.

Dave, the cookout Wednesday after our play was exceptional.  The burgers & the chili were both big hits.  The food was prepared on time and the beer was cold.  I have to also compliment you on 2 of your employees who dealt with our gang Wednesday, Thursday & Friday….. Lydia & Jessica.  They were both outstanding and you should be proud of the way they handled the customers.  Lydia also was our waitress for the cookout & we worked her to death but she never stopped smiling and made our event that much more enjoyable.  Please pass along my “thank you” to them both.

I’m sure we’ll be back again next year….as always.  Thanks for what y’all do.

Best regards,
Rob

Good Morning!

Just a quick note to let you and your fellow staff know that the last four days spend at Barefoot was one of my most enjoyable experiences in golf in a very long time, Commencing with the first contact right up to the last washing of our clubs by Chuck (what a great guy).

The quality of the four courses were impeccable and also at all times tested our golf wits, The total staff on site were just real genuine and it was demonstrated during our stay that they were committed to quality service!!!

I would and will highly recommend the Barefoot Resort to anyone!!

In closing Thank You once again and rest assure you will see us again very shortly!!

Marty

Anyone who hasn't played the Barefoot courses, do yourself a favor and give them a try. You'll definitely have a good time and be treated like royalty by everyone that works there. You could tell everyone that deals with customers are glad you're there and proud of their facility.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the entire staff at Barefoot Golf Vacations and the staffs of the respective courses for the outstanding service provided during my group’s outing 29 Mar- 2 Apr 2011.

Each year, 16-20 of us, mostly retired veterans and current Federal government employees participate in a golf outing in honor of my late father...This was our 7th such outing and I must say it was the absolute best ever! The weather didn't initially cooperate but despite that we enjoyed all four courses.

From first contact with Charlie and Cliff until we checked out, we were treated to 5 star level service.  The Yacht Club accommodations were spectacular.  The condition of the facilities and courses superb!

Most importantly, however, were the people we came in contact with daily.  The course personnel like “Mean Joe Green”, to Amy and Connie at breakfast, to Kara and Michelle at the Dye Club for lunch, to all the starters, and marshals… they all represented your brand with aplomb.   We felt like special guests wherever we turned.

Again, many thanks for providing a great venue and even greater customer service.  We will be back!

Just came back from my 5th time visiting Barefoot...You guys are the best. From the minute the guys take your clubs the experience is just terrific as well as the golf.

Played the Dye yesterday and Jeff was just a great guy and could NOT have been more pleasant.

I am sure that you usually just get complaints so as soon as I got back in my office this morning I wanted to let you know.

Thanks for ALWAYS making it a great time.

Paul

I just wanted to pass along a note regarding our recent stay and play at your Barefoot Resort. Although our trip was just a short one arriving midday Thursday, Feb 16th and departing mid afternoon Monday, Feb 20th your staff made it a very memorable one...

We then played Love and Norman on Friday. At days end Friday we anticipated some bad weather for our Sunday round at the Dye course so we asked James at your desk if we could move our Saturday 10:00am at Fazio to an earlier time in order to get an afternoon round in at the Dye track. He was very accommodating and made that happen no questions asked. Thanks James!

As predicted Sunday morning and early afternoon were rained out. However Travis was very helpful in allowing us a replay rate of $60 to play the Norman course again late in the day and teeing off at 2:00pm in a slight mist enabled us to get yet another 18 holes of golf in. Thanks Travis!

With a 3:00pm flight home we were able to play a 6th round at your facility Monday morning before leaving town.

We feel you need to know that when a group has such a small window of opportunity to play golf on a 4 night stay it is very appreciated when staff like yours make every effort possible to make things work for the customer. We feel all the staff there from the bag drop guys and starters, to the girls at breakfast and lunch, real nice beverage cart service and pro desk staff need to be made aware that all their efforts were very much appreciated and it is small things like that service that make for an extremely enjoyable and memorable trip.

Thanks! We'll be back!

Sincerely,

Karl

I am just now back in the office and I would like to pass on my thanks.  Barefoot was the highlight of our trip.  We spent the first 4 days down in Litchfield Beach and then finished at Barefoot. Your courses were fantastic.  Beyond the fact the courses themselves are incredible; I want to credit all the staff at Barefoot. The level of detail and anticipation of our customer needs exceeds any golf facilities in the Myrtle market. On all three days, we played pressure free golf with the rangers honestly concerned about our experience while subtlety encouraging us to keep the play at 4.5 hours. The bag drops and staff were more than pleasant and helpful and the clubhouse staff was wonderful. Finally, as an operations management “geek”, I couldn’t help but notice your integrated use of the GPS technology to not just let me know how far hit my approaches, but to allow the staff at Barefoot to monitor the flow of play.  It made a huge difference in our experience.

Fantastic!  As a result my group is already planning on shifting our annual golf outing...to Barefoot from now on.

Again, many thanks...Barefoot reminded me how the golf experience is supposed to feel.  I haven’t had that experience in a very long time.

John

Gentlemen,

Earlier in my professional life I too was in the golf business and understand the efforts it takes to facilitate a golf tournament, the attention to detail on the golf course and extra services you need to provide to insure the participants have a good time. I would like to commend you on your hospitality and the support that you and your staff extended to us and the other participants of the Father Son Tournament. This is only our second year we have played in it and we will definitely continue to put it on our calendar, especially when we are able to play such courses as yours and receive the services your facilities provided!

Again, our whole hearted thanks goes out to you and your staff for participating and supporting this event!

Bill and Chris
